How does a virus tick?
| |
Penetration.
First, the virus infiltrates the body. It can be transmitted orally, nasally, sexually, or through contact with blood. The particle is equipped with spikes and edges that allow it to hook the target cell.
Injection.
Once the foreign body is successfully locked onto its host, it begins to release its DNA or RNA into the cell. The genetic material forces the cell to abandon its normal functions and jobs, and start to work for the invader.
Final Days.
Now that the cell is under the control of the predator, it begins to turn itself into a "virus-factory", using all of the availiable resources to reproduce for the viruses. When the young viruses overpopulate the cell, and drain it of its resources, the cell bursts and dies. This releases thousands of viruses into the body to go and infect other cells. The others will befall the same fate as the first.
